About The Certified


The Certified of the system corresponds to the participation at Level 2.

An initial compliance level has been determined, and involves approving 60% of the control points. The level of demand of the amount of surface that the vineyards have to include in the system will increase every 3 years to promote a real process improvement continuous.

The Certified considers the inspection of the complete surface of Vineyards Type A and Vineyards Type B included in the system as shown in the implementation phases above. *
*Special cases: For companies that have a high number of Vineyards, an exceptional Internal Control System can be implemented (ICS) in the company over all the included surface of Vineyards Type A. The company has to designate a person responsible for the ICS, responsible for the Sustainability Code of the Company.
The inspection in these cases will include the entire ICS (It’s function and results) and will inspect 30% of the vineyards included in the system. Visited vineyards will vary from year to year, but risk assessment and the result of earlier years will determine the selection.
There is no option of ICS for Vineyards Type B, therefore all the surface included of Vineyards Type B is going to be inspected.
 

Costs of Certification

The associated value of participating in Level 2 of the Sustainability Code will be determined by a budget made for each company, and will be requested to the Technological Wine Consortiums through the Registration Form for Level 2 given to the registered members that request it.
These costs consider the following factors:

  • Cost of Inspection (Referential Value: 7 – 12 UF per day of inspection)
  • Code of Sustainability Fee

The values of certification will depend on the number/distance of fields and wineries of the requesting company.
